How do I pay?

We will send you an electronic bill at the end of each month. You simply pay with a credit card (GTC is accepted) and your invoice is automatically sent to you. You can then print out/email yourself your daily itemized receipt to file with your travel voucher.

Can we make money staying at an Altus AFB Crash Pad or Altus AFB Lodging?

A. The only way to pocket money on a TDY is from per-diem.  Hopefully, by staying at an Altus AFB Crash Pad with a fully stocked kitchen you’ll be able to save money by cooking on your own.  We do not do any sort of kickbacks to you (cash, gift cards, alcohol) as these are illegal, so be careful with some other military crash pads that are out there!  Avoiding kickbacks of any sort keeps you out of trouble, and us in business.

I’m TDY to Altus AFB, do I have to stay at the Red River Inn(Altus AFB Lodging)?

Absolutely not. It is explicitly stated in the Joint Travel Regulation that the traveler gets to choose where to stay even when there is lodging available on bas(see our Home page for all the details of this reg.). If you decide to book a room with us, the Red River Inn appreciates if you cancel your reservation early (preferably two weeks prior to your class start date). So why live on base when you could live in a luxurious Altus AFB Crash Pad for the same price!?

Do I have to pay out of pocket to stay at your house?

You pay nothing out of pocket. Our Crash Pad charges military members the same rate the Non-A letter approves or the On Base Lodging Rate which we explain further on our Altus AFB Crash Pad Payments page. The money given to you for lodging is use or lose, so even if you stay somewhere that costs less you can’t pocket the difference.

Why is our Altus AFB Crash Pad better than Altus AFB Lodging, a Hotel, a Condo, or an Apartment?

Simple… comfort and convenience. I enjoy staying at a hotel, but after about a week it gets old and I start to miss the comforts of home. At Altus TDY House we want to be your home away from home, so we provide you with the best of both worlds. Like a hotel you receive a secure bedroom equipped with a HDTV, queen sized bed, cipher door lock, YouTubeTV, linens, towels and housecleaning. But like a house you get a 60″ TV in the living and an outdoor living area with gas grill and patio furniture. At Altus TDY House you can have it all… privacy and somewhere nice to hang out!!

How far away from Altus AFB are you?

The city of Altus is small, you can get from just about anywhere in town to somewhere else in 5 mins.  Our locations are no different.  Our furthest military crash pad is about 3.5 miles away.

Can I forward my mail to your house?

Yes, just go online to www.usps.com and have them forward your mail to the house. Please try to remember to forward your mail back to your new address shortly after you leave.

Can I bring my pet to this Crash Pad?

Pets are allowed at certain locations. There is a daily pet fee of $7/per pet. Only certain breeds are permitted. Maximum of two pets per home. Altus TDY House reserves the right to not allow specific pets.

Can I bring my spouse?

Yes, our Family Crash Pads are catered for your spouse and family, we encourage you to bring the whole gang with you!

If your spouse will be there the entire time, we can try and work it so you’ll have the master suite for a bit more privacy, but we cannot guarantee it.

Can I bring my kids?

Our Family Crash Pads do of course allow children and are catered to them.

However, our By-the-Room Crash Pads don’t allow children. But, if the entire house is available for the time you will be there, give us a call and see if we can work something out, it doesn’t hurt to ask.

What is Altus TDY House?

We are a State of Oklahoma certified business, and an alternative to Altus AFB Lodging, and the best Altus AFB Crash Pads!
